This project involved the dismantling of the existing water piping system and the installation of new PVC piping to serve approximately 150 shops within the building. The work included upgrading the water supply system to improve reliability, pressure distribution, and overall functionality.
A total of four 500-gallon water tanks located on the ground floor were configured to supply water to the 2nd floor water tank using a booster pump system. From there, the 2nd floor water tank supplies water to the 1st floor water tank through a pressure pump, ensuring adequate and consistent water pressure to the taps across all connected shop units.
As part of the upgrade, all old water tanks were dismantled and removed, and new water tanks were installed to replace the outdated units. Additional supporting works were carried out, including the installation of plinths and bases for the tanks to ensure proper structural support and stability.
Miscellaneous works were also completed to restore affected areas, such as touch-up repairs, re-cementing of broken wall and floor openings, and other minor finishing works resulting from the pipe replacement process.
